Can’t Beat the Beast: Watch James McAvoy Basically Rule This Entire Glass Trailer

If you didn’t see James McAvoy’s should-have-been-Oscar-nominated Split performance, please fix that right now, because you will simply be unable to take your eyes off him a single second — he’s that mesmerizing.

From the looks of the latest Glass trailer, that hypnotic effect isn’t letting up any time soon — as much as this is the highly anticipated ensemble gathering of his Beast, Samuel L. Jackson’s Elijah Price (Mr. Glass) and Bruce Willis’ David Dunn (The Overseer), it’s McAvoy who still commands we watch him. So, watch, and be blown away … again.

I love the tone of this trailer and there’s an amusing unspoken bond that comes through, so though it’s heavy on Kevin Wendell Crumb/The Beast/Hedwig/Norma/Heinrich/Jade/Patricia/Barry/Dennis/Orwell, I’ve no doubt Jackson and Willis will each command their center stage moments.

Well, they can try.

Glass is written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, and also stars Sarah Paulson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Spencer Treat Clark, and Charlayne Woodard. It hits theaters January 18, 2019.
