This Is Gonna Suck: Hulu’s New Science Fiction Anthology, Dimension 404, Hosts a World of Excellent Stars

Hulu is not messing around, y’all. What with The Path, The Handmaid’s Tale and this new science fiction entry, their original programming is hitting all our buttons.

Created by Dez Dolly and Will Campos (Video Game High School), Dimension 404 looks like a Twilight Zone/Black Mirror spinoff, with weekly creepy, out of this world stories told in anthological form. Narrated by Luke Skywalker Mark Hamill, himself, guest actors include Patton Oswalt, Constance Wu, Megan Mullally, Tom Noonan, Joel McHale, Robert Buckley (iZombie), Ryan Lee (Super 8), Daniel Zovatto (It Follows), Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) Lea Michelle, Ashley Rickards and Sterling Beaumon (Longmire, The Killing, Powers), to name a few.

Honestly, I’d watch just to see what the heck is happening with Twitter favorite, Patton Oswalt.

Check out the series’ cool teaser:

Dimension 404 premieres April 4th on Hulu.

Graaaaah Hulu, stop making me want to pay for a subscription to you!!!

Yeah, kinda pissed off at that. As it is, I’ll have to subscribe anyway because of the Handmaid’s Tale, but now, I have to think about Starz, too, what with American Gods. Damnit, why can’t you all air on Netflix like civilized, polite shows do?

I just did a comparison for Starz and adding it to my Amazon subscription (for the run of American Gods) is only $8.99/mnth as opposed to adding it to my cable package, which is $15/month so there’s that. But, yeah I can’t afford a Hulu subscription TOO. COME ON!
