Just a Reminder That No Matter What Happens, We’ll Always Have Our Memories of JOeBama

Today will be a rough day for many reasons, not the least of which is that the constant photographic chronicling of Barack Obama and Joe Biden is over. More than President and Vice President, Joe and Barack told and showed us over and over what good friends — brothers — they had become, and even if they hadn’t said it, we knew; we saw how close they were. If you’ve ever had a great work buddy, you know how life changing such a relationship can be, how laughing and talking with them can get you through the longest days, the most difficult tasks. As we move forward through the challenging days ahead there’s work for all of us to do, and the best way to get through it will be together. So, have a look at these work partners, these gentlemen and friends who shared their experience, their knowledge, their grace, dignity and kindness over the past eight years, and take heart. They leaned on each other, went up against brick walls and gained ground whereever they could; they smiled, frowned, laughed and cried together, experienced victories and losses, and through it all they maintained this beautiful friendship. Let’s keep their example in our minds and hearts, and be inspired to do what we can to effect change.
