This Kickass Young Girl Might Finally Drag Me into the Whole Wolverine Thing: Logan Trailer

Well, will you look at this; the X-Men franchise has finally found not only one, but two ways to draw me in. It’s not that I haven’t tried. What with the excellent movie casts, I’ve always been a little disappointed that I found myself indifferently attempting to get through Days of Future Past, or even just the trailers for Apocalypse. It all felt too unreal, too slick … but this — THIS, this Logan teaser has a magical something about it. Dafne Keen and the emotions transferring between her Laura/X-23 and Hugh Jackman’s Logan are palpable. “This is what life looks like …” And this is one name-taking, ass-kicking performance; check it:

Everything here — even the action — comes off genuine. I guess it took a young hero stealing away Logan’s heart (and his franchise?) to get me all in.

I wonder if she’s free to go to a march on Saturday.

Logan is in theaters March 3rd.

  • If this movie isn’t as amazing as it is currently leading me to believe i might be broken hearted. JUDGE ME. It just. The looks around the dinner table, her cool shades, i am 100% in

    • For me, it is impossible to overstate how enticing this looks.

I hate the two claws thing. Give Wolverine back her claw!

        But aside from that, takemymoney.gif.

The X-Men movies irritate me in the same way the comics did; they’re supposed to be analogous to the Civil Rights movements/ POC struggles, but are all still white supermodels living in their mansion they NEED to house their private invisible jet. Also, they can fly and are invincible. But remember, they’re the underdogs!
This one may still feature white supermodels but at least it looks like they live in a hole in the ground.

I haven’t been a huge fan of the X-Men movies, and I haven’t watched the Wolverine standalone movies. But the first trailer for this got me.
