Tom Holland’s Spidey Shows Off His Deadpool Side in the First Spider-Man Homecoming Trailers

I don’t think I’ve ever truly liked a movie version of Spider-Man until Tom Holland’s adorably quippish Peter Parker showed up in Captain America:  Civil War. The Marvel gods chose very well this time, and this first teaser strikes just the right balance of sweetaction in Parker’s Hughes’ inspired school life, and his Spider-Man encountering baddies, including Michael Keaton’s Vulture. Check it:

**Updated with the second teaser:

I love his snarky Deadpool vibe in that first sequence, and Holland’s chemistry with RDJ is perfection. The timing of this lighter-hearted superhero couldn’t be better.

Spider-Man:  Homecoming stars Tom Holland, Robert Downey, Jr. Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Bokeem Woodbine, Logan Marshall-Green, Hannibal Buress, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Garcelle Beauvais, Laura Harrier and Tony Revolori, and hits theaters July 7, 2017.

    I have thoughts. And feelings.
    1. Part of me is still annoyed by another Spider-Man movie.
    2. I’m really looking forward to seeing this movie.
    3. I’ve now hit the age where I feel gross about the little roar my lions made at Tom Holland. Ew. Just ew.

  • I have a feeling I am going to be a big fan of the funny, yet responsible friend. Because yes Peter, you are a child. But also i’m with @emmalita:disqus i feel weird that i want another spider man movie but now i do and i don’t even know who i am rn

I’m still disappointed that they didn’t use this reboot to tell the story of Miles Morales instead of Peter Parker. They had a great opening, and they blew it.
