Don’t Let Me Hear You Say Life’s Taking You Nowhere: T2: Trainspotting Sends Renton, Spud, Sick Boy and Begbie Once More Unto the Breach

When most people first met Ewan McGregor (if you missed Shallow Grave, go back!), it was through the lens of Renton’s wild ride through Danny Boyle’s take on heroin, through madness and death and bottoms of toilet bowls. T2 is loosely based on Porno, Irvine Welsh’s Trainspotting sequel, and stars Ewan McGregor, Jonny Lee Miller, Ewen Bremmer, Robert Carlyle and Kelly Macdonald. It hits theaters — and our guts — January 27, 2017.

I had a difficult math moment there for “28 years have passed” since I remember seeing it in theatres but I don’t think I saw as a teen…? It’s been 21 years since I saw it, which is bad enough for my old self.
Anyway, cannot wait! Also, I forgot what it looks like when Jonny Lee uses his face for human emotions, I’m so used to his Sherlock now.

    • My error! It’s actually 20 (Sick Boy to Renton).

Oh ha. It could have been any amount of time, really.
The sun isn’t even up here yet and I’m under-caffeinated, so I was all “math is hard, why you got to be like this, math?” 🙂

I need this to not suck. I have a lot of my youth wrapped up in the original movie and soundtracks.
