Baby Morgan May Have Been Beautiful, But Just Look at the Terror She’s Bringing Us Now

I’ve tried to warn you guys, but nobody ever listens. Bioengineering. Synthetic creations. Robots, androids. Any combination thereof, wherein we humans try to play gods and mess with nature, is eventually going to go sideways; it’s inevitable. Luke Scott (Ridley’s son) carries on the family tradition by directing his first feature, a science fiction thriller written by Seth W. Owen (whose script made the 2014 Black List) about a “girl” named Morgan. We met her handlers and Kate Mara’s corporate troubleshooter in the first creeptastic trailer, and now a few more background details are coming in. Morgan may have once been as cute and cuddly as the average youngling, but, as you’ll see, there’s nothing natural about her progression toward adulthood.

There are several more clips available, but it’s almost too much information; I advise you to skip the rest of these and let your brain play with what it was given. But we all know you never listen to me. Happy nightmares!

Sheesh! I might deck Paul Giamatti myself.

Morgan stars Anya-Taylor Joy, Kate Mara, Toby Jones, Michelle Yeoh, Paul Giamatti, Rose Leslie, Chris Sullivan, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jonathan Aris, Brian Cox, Sam Spruell, and Boyd Holbrook. She enters theaters September 2nd.
