Shannen Doherty Shares Her Intensely Frightening Battle in a Beautiful Way

Like way too many people in our world, Shannen Doherty is living with and going through treatments for cancer. Following legal action against a former business manager who’d let Doherty’s insurance lapse, last year, the actress revealed she had breast cancer, which had gone undetected for quite some time. Interviewed by Dr. Oz this past February, she also announced that she’d be having surgery, as the tumor was fairly large and had spread to her lymph nodes. It looks like the time is nigh, and Doherty has shared some very intimate photos of her preemptive haircut.

Following an ominous lead-in:

Cupcake pan, chocolates and a razor…. Stay tuned. @annemkortright has got this. #cancersucks #thankgodforfriends

I had not heard about her cancer diagnosis. I hope she comes through safely. When my cousin shaved her head before chemo, she and her friend took the time to give her a hot pink Mohawk. It made a rough day better.

That’s powerful. All the best to her, and thank you for bringing this to my attention. <3
