Let’s just start things off right, with Ruth Negga in Giorgio Armani; I love it. Sexy, a little risqué, but not vulgar.
Interestingly, she went for quite a different vibe at the Loving photocall, in a metallic Sumo that I’ve changed my mind on about ten times already. Preacher hasn’t even started yet, and I’m madly in love with this woman.
Edgerton cleans up nicely, too.
Emilia Clarke wore this plaid Bottega Veneta number to her Me Before You premiere in Toronto, and I absolutely adore it. I know it’s a little out there with the sparkly business and personally, and I might be in the minority, but her whole look just works for me. I also love seeing her natural hair.
Likewise, I’m digging Caitriona Balfe’s low-key(ish for Cannes) Louis Vuitton, especially the top. Finally, we’re getting away from the toilet-paperish goings-on that seemed to be all over the French red carpet.
Chloë Sevigny is just one of the many who went white and fluffy and Chanel-y; this is actually one of her less prim looks, and I like it. Yes, it’s see-through and yes, a little tight around the boobtastic area, but I”m so happy to see her not in a high-neck princess dress that I’m calling it a win.
This is Mads in some suit for a VF Cannes Portrait, and it just doesn’t get any better.
Okay, I lied.
Chanel Iman is flawless in this Kaufman Franco.
As is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, dramaramaing it up in a scarlett Alexandre Vauthier.
Not for nothing, but Blake Lively in Atelier Versace is the Cannes-iest Cannes fashion photo I’ve seen. Sweet Baby Deadpool bump 🙂
This is a case of a poorly clad Frenchman (that’s a black polo shirt under a navy blazer), however; this is also a case of: IT’S VINCENT CASSEL. Yes, I have a crush. Aren’t his glasses nice?
I have but one fashion goal when I reach my golden years: to have half the style Helen Mirren does. First she arrived to her Cannes hotel in this fabulous jacket…
then she showed up at a premiere in this gorgeous, twirl-worthy Bruce Oldfield number.
Viggo and his Captain Fantastic cast went a little casual at the film’s premiere, but I can’t seem to focus on the clothes; something’s distracting me.
It seemed to be a running gag.
But, Iggy’s my absolute favorite.
Happy Friday, y’all!
