MOAR RADIOHEAD! My Friday — whole weekend — is made. The new “album” will be released digitally Sunday night. (via Nerdist)

Did the Russo Brothers just confirm a very exciting Avengers:  Infinity War appearance? Yes, yes they did. Now, who is playing this superhero, tell us that oh loose-lipped directors! (The Mary Sue)

Listen y’all, when King Leo wants to make someone his friend, he just MAKES them his friend. That’s how it is! (Celebitchy)

Peter Capaldi, aka Twelve, is as big a Doctor Who fan as any of us! So freaking adorable. Also, Team Give the Doctor a Beard. (i09)

I’ve decided to make Kristen Bell my friend (let’s see if this works). Her intelligence and composure while matter-of-factly sharing her family’s history of depression and anxiety is admirable, and she’s clearly a powerful voice that can help erase the stigma around mental health issues. In lieu of this week’s Friday Fashion post — we covered the Met Gala Fashions earlier in the week — have a gander at the Civil War cast in NYC for a screening. Chris Evans seems woefully underdressed, and though I love the color, I’m uncertain about Elizabeth Olsen’s flowery gown. It veers between pretty and grandma-land. Sebastion Stan wins the blue suit contest. (Tom + Lorenzo)

I don’t know that I can get excited about another Ryan Murphy anthology series, even if it does feature a Susan Sarandon/Jessica Lange throwdown. (Lainey Gossip)

He left The Daily Show…for HBO. CEO Richard Plepler says the cable network is hopeful Jon Stewart will make his debut before the election. Now that, I’ll watch. (Vulture)

Ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew EEEEEEEWWWWW. Bugs. (Mental Floss)

Looking for unique baby names that aren’t just poorly spelled versions of common ones? How about some Skynet suggestions? *shudder* (Boing Boing)

Tomorrow (May 7th) is Free Comic Book Day! Find a story in your area and get reading, people. (Free Comic Book Day)

This is so effing coooool! Skydivers play high-flying, Harry Potter Quidditch. (Mashable)

Also cool is Mythbusters’ Grant Imahara making Cap’s shield and Iron Man’s gauntlet with Allen Pan.(via Fashionably Geek)

I want Elizabeth’s Olsen dress so much. I’m a sucker for that pattern and the fit is exquisite. I thought the mismatched seams would be a deal breaker, but I can forgive it because the print is just so great.

    • The more I look at it (on her), the more I like it despite the flowers. But, I don’t think I could carry it off.

It’s lovely but I’m pretty sure it would look like a comforter if I wore it.

Can we both be friends with Kristin Bell? Because she and I seem to be cut from similar cloths. I wish my mom had sought treatment for her mental illness when I was younger. I wish that she had been or would be as open and forthcoming about it as KB’s mom seems to have been. We’re in the process of having our 5 yo son evaluated for anxiety issues right now. The family history part of the in-take interview was the first time I’ve ever really talked to a professional about my mom’s instability and my dad’s un-diagnosed depression and I couldn’t even tell her anything more about it besides “well, she acts like THIS sometimes and she’s on medication but she won’t tell me what or what it’s for.” Which, as it turns out, is NOT super helpful.

    • I am a sharer 🙂
Also, please to accept my hugs. Poor little one!

If we can get him to a place where he will take off his coat at parties and stops meowing like a cat when he’s uncomfortable I will consider whatever happens next totally worth it.

My son started some counselling for anxiety at 8. When doing the intake, I was pretty upfront about my having anxiety and depression, and she was so taken aback that I was not ashamed of it, but it was helpful. He is doing much better now. I hope it works out for you boy, too.

Thanks. I’m fighting an uphill battle against the husband & in-laws on this one so I can use all the good juju I can get. I don’t understand why people have such a difficult time understanding mental health issues. It’s really frustrating.

Cindy, the Tom and Lorenzo link seems to go to the Kristen Bell video? Maybe I am doing something wrong.
